Anti-SELE (clone 5C7.29) Recombinant Antibody Coupled Liposome (VS-1024-FY201) (CAT#: VS-1024-FY201)
E-selectin-specific monoclonal antibody-conjugated fluorescently labeled liposomes can specifically bind to stimulated HUVEC cells, allowing for the observation of this specific interaction through MRI and fluorescence microscopy. This newly developed system may serve as a useful diagnostic tool for studying pathological processes in vivo.

- Antibody Description
- The 5C7.29 antibody is a monoclonal antibody that targets specific antigens on stimulated endothelial cells and recognizes antigens related to E-selectin. This antibody is used in research to identify and analyze the expression of E-selectin and its role in the adhesion of endothelial cells to leukocytes. The 5C7.29 antibody is crucial in the study of E-selectin, contributing to a deeper understanding of the interactions between endothelial cells and leukocytes, as well as the mechanisms involved in inflammatory responses.

- Introduction
- The protein encoded by this gene is found in cytokine-stimulated endothelial cells and is thought to be responsible for the accumulation of blood leukocytes at sites of inflammation by mediating the adhesion of cells to the vascular lining. It exhibits structural features such as the presence of lectin- and EGF-like domains followed by short consensus repeat (SCR) domains that contain 6 conserved cysteine residues. These proteins are part of the selectin family of cell adhesion molecules. Adhesion molecules participate in the interaction between leukocytes and the endothelium and appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.
