Mouse Anti-TH Recombinant Antibody (clone 4B1) (CAT#: VS3-WK1590)

This antibody is a mouse recombinant antibody against human TH, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of catecholamines, hence plays a key role in the physiology of adrenergic neurons. The clone 4B1 can be used in WB analysis at a dilution of 1/1000-1/2000 and IHC analysis at a dilution of 1/50-1/200.

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • Tyrosine Hydroxylase; Tyrosine 3-Monooxygenase; Tyrosine 3-Hydroxylase; EC 1.14.16.2; TYH; Dystonia 14; EC 1.14.16; DYT14; DYT5b
  • Long Name
  • Tyrosine Hydroxylase
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the biopterin-dependent aromatic amino acid hydroxylase family.
  • Cellular Localization
  • Cell projection, Cytoplasm, Cytoplasmic vesicle, Nucleus, Synapse
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • Phosphorylated on Ser-19, Ser-62 and Ser-71 by several protein kinases with different site specificities. Phosphorylation at Ser-62 and Ser-71 leads to an increase of TH activity
  • Function
  • Catalyzes the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-Dopa), the rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of cathecolamines, dopamine, noradrenaline, and adrenaline. Uses tetrahydrobiopterin and molecular oxygen to convert tyrosine to L-Dopa.
