Recombinant human antibody to gp120. B4a1 reacts with many B clade isolates, and preincubation with sCD4 enhances binding to both the R5 and R5X4 isolates. B4a1 had an additive effect on neutralization with 2G12 with the R5X4 virus but not the R5 virus.

Competition of HD5 with a panel of anti-gp120 mAbs with various epitope specificity for binding to plastic-immobilized recombinant gp120 in ELISA. The plates were coated with gp120BaL at 2 mg/mL; HD5 at 5.6 mM was added prior to the anti-gp120 mAbs, all used at 5 mg/ml.
