Creative Biolabs supports your gastroenterology and immunology research with ultra-specific anti-CCR9 recombinant antibodies. CCR9 is the chemokine receptor uniquely responsible for T-cell trafficking to the gut. It is therefore a critical factor in intestinal immunity and the pathophysiology of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Creative Biolabs’ high-quality antibodies are the ideal reagents to study gut-homing lymphocytes and to enable you to develop therapies to selectively target Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

CCR9: The Gut-Homing Chemokine Receptor

C-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 9 (CCR9) is a G-protein coupled receptor that is selectively expressed by a subset of T-lymphocytes. It has a single ligand, the chemokine CCL25 (TECK), which is constitutively produced by epithelial cells lining the small intestine. The interaction between CCR9 and its ligand CCL25 serves as a powerful homing signal, guiding CCR9-expressing T-cells from the bloodstream into the lamina propria and epithelium of the intestine. In Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), CCR9 and CCL25 play a central role in driving the influx of pathogenic T-cells that leads to chronic intestinal inflammation and tissue damage.

Alternative Names

GPR28; CDw199; GPR-9-6; CC-CKR-9; C-C chemokine receptor type 9; G protein-coupled receptor 28; chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 9

Background

CCR9 (C-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 9) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CCR9 include Celiac Disease 1 and Cd45 Deficiency. Among its related pathways are Akt Signaling and Allograft rejection. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include G-protein coupled receptor activity and C-C chemokine receptor activity. An important paralog of this gene is CCR7.

Anti-CCR9 rAb Products

Creative Biolabs’ recombinant anti-CCR9 antibodies are engineered to provide the highest specificity and performance. These antibodies have been thoroughly validated to reliably detect the CCR9 receptor on the surface of gut-homing T-cells. Optimized for multiple applications, including multi-color flow cytometry to identify these specialized lymphocytes or functional blocking to inhibit CCL25-mediated chemotaxis, our recombinant antibodies (rAbs) offer the consistent performance needed to dissect IBD pathophysiology.
