Anti-CEA Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, p40-ScFv (T84.66)-p35 (CAT#: ACFP-SH169)
This antibody-cytokine fusion protein was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-CEA ScFv to IL12. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The Immunocytokines retains the ability to bind the CEA as well as the biological activity of IL12. The aCEA-(hIL12) fusion protein induced the in vitro proliferation of PHA-PBMC and was able to induce LAK cells to inhibit the in vitro growth of TFK-1 cells (human bile duct carcinoma). This Immunocytokines was designed for treating human bile duct carcinoma.

- Interleukin 12 (IL-12) is an interleukin that is naturally produced by dendritic cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and human B-lymphoblastoid cells (NC-37) in response to antigenic stimulation. IL-12 is composed of a bundle of four alpha helices. It is a heterodimeric cytokine encoded by two separate genes, IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40). The active heterodimer (referred to as 'p70'), and a homodimer of p40 are formed following protein synthesis.
