Anti-HCMV gB Recombinant Antibody (7H3) (CAT#: MRO-1040LC)

This product is a full length recombinant human anti-Human Cytomegalovirus monoclonal antibody. 7H3 specifically binds to envelope glycoprotein gB associated with HCMV and can be potentially used in the studies and diagnosis of Human Cytomegalovirus infection.

Dose-effect inhibition of HCMV plaque formation (PFI) in ARPE-19 cells, and HCMV transfer to leukocytes (LTI) from infected HUVEC cells by serial concentrations of human mAbs specific for different sites on the pentamer complex. An anti-gB mAb (7H3) was used as a control.

MAbs to the pentamer complex and its pUL128L components completely blocked syncytium formation (SF) at the higher concentration tested (10 µg/ml), unlike mAbs to gO, gH, or gB, which only partially inhibited SF.
