Recombinant Rabbit Anti-GRIN1 Capture Antibody (clone R14-6Y-3) (CAT#: VS3-WK1890)

This antibody is a rabbit recombinant antibody against mouse GRIN1. It was developed by immunization of rabbit with recombinant mouse GRIN1 protein and then was produced as a recombinant antibody. The isotype of this product is rabbit IgG. The sandwich ELISA was established using matched antibody pair R14-6Y-3 and R84-4W-8. The clone R14-6Y-3 can be used as a capture antibody in ELISA analysis to identify mouse GRIN1.

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • NR1; GluN1; Nmdar; NMD-R1; NMDAR1; M100174; Rgsc174; GluRzeta1; GluRdelta1
  • Long Name
  • Glutamate receptor, ionotropic, NMDA1 (zeta 1)
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the glutamate-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.10.1) family. NR1/GRIN1 subfamily.
  • Cellular Localization
  • Cell membrane, Membrane, Postsynaptic cell membrane, Synapse
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • NMDA is probably regulated by C-terminal phosphorylation of an isoform of NR1 by PKC. Dephosphorylated on Ser-897 probably by protein phosphatase 2A (PPP2CB). Its phosphorylated state is influenced by the formation of the NMDAR-PPP2CB complex and the NMDAR channel activity (By similarity).
  • Function
  • Component of NMDA receptor complexes that function as heterotetrameric, ligand-gated ion channels with high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Channel activation requires binding of the neurotransmitter glutamate to the epsilon subunit, glycine binding to the zeta subunit, plus membrane depolarization to eliminate channel inhibition by Mg2+.
