Enables microfilament motor activity and protein homodimerization activity. A structural constituent of muscle. Involved in several processes, including adult somatic muscle development; epithelial cell migration; and myofibril assembly. Located in A band and polytene chromosome puff. Is expressed in several structures, including circulatory system; digestive system; extended germ band embryo; gonad; and muscle system. Used to study cardiomyopathy (multiple) and muscle tissue disease (multiple). Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including arthrogryposis multiplex congenita; cardiomyopathy (multiple); congenital heart disease (multiple); heart conduction disease (multiple); and muscle tissue disease (multiple). Orthologous to several human genes including MYH7 (myosin heavy chain 7).
MHC class I molecules are one of two primary classes of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules (the other being MHC class II) and are found on the cell surface of all nucleated cells in the bodies of jawed vertebrates. In humans, the HLAs corresponding to MHC class I are HLA-A, HLA-B, and HLA-C.
