Recombinant Rabbit Anti-MCM2 (phospho Ser108) Antibody (clone R01-7G9) (CAT#: VS3-FY907)
This product is a recombinant rabbit antibody that recognizes MCM2. This antibody has been reported for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation. The clone R01-7G9 is specific for human, mouse, rat MCM2. The antigen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding ser108 of human mcm2.
We specialize in custom recombinant antibody production, offering seamless execution from provided sequences to high-quality antibody deliverables, ensuring optimal yield and purity.

- Post Translation Modifications
- Phosphorylated on Ser-108 by ATR in proliferating cells. Ser-108 proliferation is increased by genotoxic agents. Ser-40 is mediated by the CDC7-DBF4 and CDC7-DBF4B complexes, while Ser-53 phosphorylation is only mediated by the CDC7-DBF4 complex. Phosphorylation by the CDC7-DBF4 complex during G1/S phase is required for the initiation of DNA replication.
- Protein Refseq
- NP_004517.2
- Function
- Acts as component of the MCM2-7 complex (MCM complex) which is the replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. Core component of CDC45-MCM-GINS (CMG) helicase, the molecular machine that unwinds template DNA during replication, and around which the replisome is built (PubMed:32453425, PubMed:34694004, PubMed:34700328, PubMed:35585232).
The active ATPase sites in the MCM2-7 ring are formed through the interaction surfaces of two neighboring subunits such that a critical structure of a conserved arginine finger motif is provided in trans relative to the ATP-binding site of the Walker A box of the adjacent subunit. The six ATPase active sites, however, are likely to contribute differentially to the complex helicase activity (PubMed:32453425).
Required for the entry in S phase and for cell division (PubMed:8175912).
Plays a role in terminally differentiated hair cells development of the cochlea and induces cells apoptosis (PubMed:26196677).
