Recombinant Rabbit Anti-IL17A Capture Antibody (clone R05-7K8) (CAT#: VS3-WK1720)

This antibody is a rabbit recombinant antibody against human IL17A. It was developed by immunization of rabbit with recombinant human IL17A protein and then was produced as a recombinant antibody. The isotype of this product is rabbit IgG. The sandwich ELISA was established using matched antibody pair R05-7K8 and R04-4G2. The clone R05-7K8 can be used as a capture antibody in ELISA analysis to identify human IL17A.

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • Interleukin 17A
  • Long Name
  • Interleukin 17A
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the IL-17 family.
  • Cellular Localization
  • Secreted
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • N-glycosylated. Found both in glycosylated and nonglycosylated forms.
  • Function
  • Effector cytokine of innate and adaptive immune system involved in antimicrobial host defense and maintenance of tissue integrity.
Signals via IL17RA-IL17RC heterodimeric receptor complex, triggering homotypic interaction of IL17RA and IL17RC chains with TRAF3IP2 adapter. This leads to downstream TRAF6-mediated activation of NF-kappa-B and MAPkinase pathways ultimately resulting in transcriptional activation of cytokines, chemokines, antimicrobial peptides and matrix metalloproteinases, with potential strong immune inflammation.
