Anti-MS4A1 (clone RW005) Recombinant Antibody Coupled Liposome (VS-1024-FY266) (CAT#: VS-1024-FY266)
By using antibodies that specifically recognize the surface marker CD20 on leukemia cells, these immunoliposomes can potentially be used to selectively target and treat leukemia. Animal model experiments demonstrate that these liposomes have effective inhibitory effects on tumor progression, highlighting their potential as non-viral carriers for the targeted delivery of specific oligonucleotides.

- Antibody Description
- This is a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting the CD20 protein, predominantly present on the surface of B cells within the immune system (distinct from pancreatic β- or beta cells). By inducing the destruction of B cells, this antibody is utilized in the treatment of conditions marked by an overabundance, hyperactivity, or dysfunction of B cells. Such conditions include various lymphomas, leukemias, transplant rejection episodes, and autoimmune diseases.

- MS4A1
- Introduction
- This gene encodes a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family. Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This gene encodes a B-lymphocyte surface molecule which plays a role in the development and differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of family members. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants which encode the same protein.
- Alternative Names

- Full Name
- Membrane Spanning 4-Domains A1
- Gene ID
- 931
- UniProt ID
- P11836
- Sequence Similarities
- Belongs to the MS4A family.
- Cellular Localization
- Cell membrane, Membrane
- Post Translation Modifications
- Phosphorylated on serines and threonines in resting B-cells. Protein kinase C/PKC can use CD20 as substrate.
- Protein Refseq
- NP_068769.2; NP_690605.1
- Function
- B-lymphocyte-specific membrane protein that plays a role in the regulation of cellular calcium influx necessary for the development, differentiation, and activation of B-lymphocytes.
Functions as a store-operated calcium (SOC) channel component promoting calcium influx after activation by the B-cell receptor/BCR.
