Anti-MS4A1 Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, IgG-mIFNβ (CAT#: VS-0624-FY100)
Rituximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody against the protein CD20, which is primarily found on the surface of immune system B cells. IFNB1 is more potent than interferon-α (IFN-α) in inducing apoptotic and antiproliferative pathways required for controlling tumor cell growth. Diseases associated with IFNB1 include multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. The anti-CD20-mIFNβ fusion protein was generated by linking mouse IFNβ to the C-terminus of the human IgG1 CH3 domain via a SGGGGS linker. Anti-CD20-IFNβ fusion protein fuses IFNβ with anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody to achieve targeted delivery of IFNβ to B cell lymphoma cells, thereby improving the therapeutic effect.

- Interferon beta (IFNβ) is a cytokine that is naturally produced by the immune system in response to biological and chemical stimuli. It signals by binding to the heterodimeric type I IFN receptor, composed of the IFNAR1 and IFNAR2 chains, and regulates the expression of a large number of genes through classical JAK/STAT and other pathways. IFNβ has pleiotropic effects as it exerts antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory activities on a variety of cell types. These biological activities underlie the mechanism by which this protein is used to treat a variety of diseases, such as hepatitis C infection and multiple sclerosis.

Target
- Introduction
- This gene encodes a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family. Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This gene encodes a B-lymphocyte surface molecule which plays a role in the development and differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of family members. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants which encode the same protein.
